TEMOS SEGUIDO COM ATENÇÃO AS CONSEQUÊNCIAS DEVASTADORAS do tremor de terra que se fez sentir em Christchurch no princípio da semana, e recebemos através de um antigo jogador da Académica, agora residindo na Austrália, uma cópia de um e-mail enviado por um jogador e treinador neo-zelandês há muito radicado em Itália, que não podemos deixar de passar para o conhecimento de todos.

Sem mais conversa aqui fica o apelo e aproveitamos para repetir a informação que os dois jovens jogadores portugueses (Vasco Fragoso Mendes e Francisco Vieira de Almeida) que se encontram em Christchurch, estão bem.



Chamo-me Carlos Miraldo Ordens e joguei na Rugby na AAC muitos anos. Joguei também em Itália. Entretanto vim viver para a Austrália, onde sou árbitro.
Recebi este email do meu amigo Regan Sue, ex-treinador e ex-companheiro de equipa em Itália. O Regan é Neozelandês e está chocado com a dimensão do terramoto em Christchurch. Mandou um mail aos amigos de Rugby que tem espalhados pelo mundo sobre a importância de ajudarmos Christchurch - uma cidade de Rugby por excelência - neste momento difícil.

My name is Regan Sue I have been living, playing & coaching rugby in Italy for many years.
After waking up and reading yahoo.co.nz on-line this morning I felt devastated when I saw the scenes from the second major earthquake in Christchurch within months.

I feel like jumping on a plane and going back to help but obviously that is not a reality so I have come up with another idea and I have contacted Nicole Tipler (NZ Consulate) and asked her to send out this email that I have written calling on all RUGBY FRIENDS AROUND THE WORLD and ask we all lend our support to New Zealand at this sad moment.

I have asked Nicole to put a link on the bottom of this email before she sends it out to you all were we can send donations through to New Zealand.
